Jammu Kashmir reached 99.8% Digital Banking coverage. In Jammu and Kashmir, nearly all bank accounts are now using digital methods. A report shows that 99.80 percent of all savings and business accounts are now using digital platforms. This means that out of all the accounts that could use digital banking, almost all of them are doing so.

Almost 1 crore and 28 lakh accounts are using digital payments in all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. On January 31, 2025, only 25,472 accounts were left to be made digital. This shows that almost every account is now using digital methods.
Some banks have already achieved 100 percent digital coverage. This means that all of their savings and business accounts are using digital methods. These banks are J&K Bank and State Bank of India (SBI). Other banks are also very close to 100 percent. Punjab National Bank (PNB) has 99.49 percent in savings accounts and 100 percent in business accounts. HDFC Bank has 99.93 percent in savings and 99.78 percent in business accounts. ICICI Bank has 100 percent in savings and 99.70 percent in business accounts. Canara Bank has 98.25 percent for savings and 99.84 percent for business accounts.
J&K Bank has made a lot of progress in digital transactions. In the year 2024-25, up to December 2024, the bank had 138 crore and 90 lakh transactions. Out of these, 99.80 percent were digital. 70 percent of these digital transactions were done through UPI platforms.
In the year 2022-23, J&K Bank had 82 crore and 83 lakh transactions. 86 percent of these were digital, and 47 percent were through UPI. In 2023-24, the bank had 126 crore and 15 lakh transactions. 90 percent were digital, and 55 percent were through UPI. The number of digital transactions has continued to increase in 2024-25. 94 percent of transactions were digital, and 70 percent were through UPI platforms.
